Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced PSEM Technical Project Manager consultant to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading projects focused on technical implementation for PSEM systems.


  • Gather requirements for designing and building complex PSEM systems and enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Manage the design of these solutions, ensuring they meet PSEM needs for monitoring and alerting.
  • Develop technical specifications, bill of materials, and engineering drawings using tools like Visio or CAD.
  • Plan and coordinate the design of hardware and software for the monitoring system.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure systems meet functionality, performance, and operational readiness standards.
  • Oversee blended teams of consultants and staff, managing vendor relationships and ensuring adherence to PMO methodologies.
  • Participate in PMO functions, including budget monitoring, communication plans, risk management, and more.
  • Review project artifacts like technical requirements, user experience design, architecture, and testing documentation.
  • Develop training plans and manage future support needs.
  • Ensure smooth project close out and knowledge transfer to agency staff.
  • Report to senior management on project status and support the Director of Project Management.
  • Address client concerns, escalate risks and issues, and manage them to resolution.
  • Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned.


  • ** A minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing medium to large-scale projects. **
  • ** At least 8 years of experience in Event Management and Public Safety Emergency Services. **
  • ** A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. **
  • ** Functional understanding of routing protocols and data delivery techniques. **
  • ** Knowledge of Operations Management (Service Desk, Help Desk, Datacenter). **
  • ** Functional knowledge of Operating Systems, Databases, and IT Infrastructure elements. **
  • ** Experience with IT Service Management and Enterprise Monitoring tools. **
  • ** In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring tools for Service Automation, Service Assurance, and Service Support. **
  • ** Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio. **
  • ** Proven project management experience, including project planning and scheduling with complex dependencies. **
  • ** Solid technical leadership experience in a large-scale enterprise environment for Emergency Services. **
  • A PMP Certification and experience managing third-party service providers are a plus!
